Our approach to fees
We know how hard it is to say goodbye to a pet, and the last thing you need at that time is uncertainty about cost. So we've kept our fees as simple as we can. There is one fixed price for your visit, based on your pet and where you live, and it covers everything we do. You'll see the price before you book, we'll confirm it in writing, and it won't change on the day.
What’s included
Your fee covers the whole visit, from the moment we arrive until we leave you with your pet:
travel to your home
time together beforehand, to talk things through and answer your questions
a sedative, so your pet drifts into a deep, peaceful sleep
a small intravenous catheter, so there are no further needles
the final injection
gently confirming that your pet has passed
taking away all needles and clinical waste for safe disposal
There are no extra charges
No call-out fee, no mileage, and no extra charge for evenings, weekends or bank holidays. We never rush a visit, and your fee stays the same however long you need.
We are not registered for VAT, so no VAT is charged.
What’s not included
Cremation
Cremation is arranged and paid for directly with the crematorium, or with your own vet. We don't add anything to their prices, and we don't receive anything for recommending anyone. You can see current prices here:
Individual cremation (ashes returned): iCare Pet Crem, Whitburn · Greenland Pet Cremation, Dumbarton
Communal cremation (ashes not returned): through your own vet or through our preferred crematoria on request.
You're also welcome to use any other crematorium, or to bury your pet at home.
Other veterinary care.
We provide home euthanasia only. For consultations, treatment, medicines, and emergency or out-of-hours care, please contact your own veterinary practice.
Paying
We've tried to make paying as simple as possible, so it's one less thing to think about.
Before your visit. Some families prefer to pay in advance so it's not on their mind afterwards. Use the secure link on the invoice we email you.
After your visit. There's no need to pay on the day. Payment is due within 48 hours, and you can use the invoice link whenever you're ready.
On the day. We can take card or cash at the visit if you'd prefer.
Ways to pay: by debit or credit card through the secure link on your invoice, by bank transfer, or by card or cash in person.
Cancelling
You can cancel at any time, for any reason, even on the day, and there is nothing to pay. Just call, WhatsApp or email us.
